Intro to Handgun
 
This course is designed for the new shooter or gun owner to bring you the most up to date techniques for safe firearm handling skills and shooting fundamentals through dry fire and live fire skills.
 
Students will learn the following:
Nomenclature
Different Types of Handguns
Handgun Cycle of Operations
Types of Ammunition
Safe Firearm Handling Skills
How to properly load and unload a handgun
Handgun Fundamentals of Shooting
Live Fire Malfunction Clearing
 
Required Gear for the Course:
Handgun of a common calibaer that you can easily control (No Magnum Calibers)
100 Rounds of Ammunition per person
A case for you handgun
Minimum of 1-2 magazines per handgun
Eye and Ear Protection (We can provide if necessary)
Weather Appropriate Attire (No open toed shoes.  No sleevless or low cut shirts.  Hats are recommended)
Students will need to bring a light lunch or snack and something to drink 
Camping type chair
Note Taking materials.
